Message from the Principal

Dear Bruce Elementary Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year! We are excited to welcome our students back and begin another year of learning, growth, community, and new adventures.

At Bruce, our mission is simple yet powerful: to educate and support every student as they grow into lifelong learners. This mission guides all that we do—from the classroom to the playground, and beyond.

This year, we will continue our commitment to practicing the R Factor: E + R = O (Event + Response =
Outcome). We teach our students—and model for them—the importance of responding thoughtfully to the
events in their lives. By choosing discipline over default, and intention over impulse, we can influence
outcomes and take ownership of our path forward. It’s a mindset that empowers our school community to
grow both academically and personally.

As we begin the year, we are looking forward to building strong partnerships with you. Your involvement,
encouragement, and communication play an important role in your child's success. Together, we can help
our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while encouraging them to become confident,
responsible, and caring individuals.

There will be many exciting opportunities throughout the year for students and families to learn, celebrate,
and grow together. We encourage you to stay connected with your child’s teacher and with our school as
we share important information, upcoming events, and celebrations.

As the principal, I am honored to lead our dedicated staff in making the 2026–2027 school year a
successful and rewarding experience for all. Our team looks forward to partnering with students, families,
and the community to ensure a strong foundation for learning and growth.
